You can connect Chromecast to your TV in a few simple steps:
A. Plug one end of the USB power cable into your Chromecast and the other end of the cable into the power supply and then into a nearby power outlet. Google recommends that you use the USB power cable and power adapter that is included in the box for optimal performance.
B. Plug your Chromecast into any open HDMI input on your TV.
C. If you do not have access to an open outlet, you can also power your Chromecast by plugging the USB power cord directly into an open USB port* on your TV.
To verify the connection, turn on the TV and change the input to HDMI1 (or HDMI2). You should see some text on the screen with a device identifier "Chromecastxxxx" near the bottom, where "xxxx" is a 4-digt number. A verification code is also display on the screen.
