The diagram below shows you how to install a DSL modem with a wireless router and analog phone:
Important notes for this installation:
- A DSL Inline Filter must be placed between any analog devices like an analog phone or fax machine and the incoming phone line to remove DSL signals.
- The DSL Modem must be connected to the incoming phone line directly without any DSL Inline Filter.
- The Wireless Router must be connected the Modem using an Ethernet cable. Newer DSL modems have built-in wireless service, so no need to have a separate wireless router.
