Installing qBittorrent-nox on CentOS is easy and fast, see
steps below.
1. Install "qbittorrent-nox" package with "dnf" command.
fyicenter$ sudo dnf install qbittorrent-nox Installed: qbittorrent-nox-1:4.2.5-2.el8.x86_64 qt5-qtbase-5.15.2-3.el8.x86_64 qt5-qtbase-common-5.15.2-3.el8.noarch rb_libtorrent-1.2.6-4.el8.x86_64
2. Start "qbittorrent-nox" with default settings
fyicenter$ qbittorrent-nox *** Legal Notice *** qBittorrent is a file sharing program. When you run a torrent, its data will be made available to others by means of upload. Any content you share is your sole responsibility. No further notices will be issued. Press 'y' key to accept and continue... y ******** Information ******** To control qBittorrent, access the Web UI at http://localhost:8080 The Web UI administrator username is: admin The Web UI administrator password is still the default one: adminadmin This is a security risk, please consider changing your password from program preferences.
If you want to run qBittorrent-nox in the background, you can use the "--daemon" option.
fyicenter$ qbittorrent-nox --webui-port=8888 --daemon
Once qbittorrent-nox is started, the qBittorrent Web UI is ready to use at http://localhost:8080
