I recently discovered La Roche-Posay and am so happy that I did! I battled with acne from age 16 to 22. At 22 I started using Proactiv, which worked for me for 10 years. At 32 I became pregnant and didn't want to risk using anything with Benzoyl Peroxide so I discontinued Proactiv and the acne returned.

Post pregnancy I restarted Proactiv but my face was suddenly too sensitive for that product. I tried Proactiv+ but yet again, my skin was just too sensitive. I tried Clinique acne products, The Body Shop, and a few other products but nothing worked. I was getting so frustrated and hopeless that I started looking into making an appointment with a dermatologist. Due to the expense I never made an appointment. Then I stumbled onto La Roche Posay - what a miracle!

I use the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel twice a day and my face is finally clear again! I think it has a very pleasant scent (reminds me of a perfume I used to wear called Yellow Jeans). The tube is plenty large and lasts quite awhile. I use 2 other products from La Roche-Posay that I would also recommend: Effaclar Duo (twice a day - I only apply to pimples when they surface and I also use it on my jawline where I had a huge problem with cystic pimples for months) and Effaclar Mat (I only use that in the morning).

If you're having an issue with acne you should definitely try the Effaclar line. You may also want to consider trying a different hair cream/syrum. I'm not positive but I think the smoothing cream I used to use in my hair may have caused the cystic pimples along my jawline.

In summary, I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and this product works for me! I hope it works for you too.
