Adding a calendar folder to a data file in Outlook 2013 requires the following steps:

1. Open the data file, for example "Chess Club", in Outlook 2013.

2. Click the "Folder" tab, the "New Folder" menu icon. You see the "Create New Folder" dialog box showing up.

3. Select "Calendar Items" in the "Folder contains" dropdown list.

4. Select the mailbox represented by the "Chess Club" data file.

Now the "Chess Club" mailbox file is capable to store meeting invites now.
