FTP Data Connection Passive Mode Requirements
What are the requirements to use Passive Mode for FTP data connection?

If you want to use passive mode for data connections with your FTP tool,
you need to verify the following requirements:
1. Does the FTP server support Passive Mode? Generally, all FTP servers support passive mode for data connections. But if you are running into trouble with the FTP server in passive mode, you need to verify this with the server admin.
2. Does your FTP client tool support Passive mode? Most FTP client tools support passive mode for data connections. But there are some tools do not support passive mode. For example, the FTP command line program (ftp.exe) does not support passive mode at all. ftp.exe only support active mode.
3. Does your FTP client tool use Passive Mode by default? Most FTP client tools uses passive mode for data connections by default. But if you see issues uploading or downloading files, you may check the configure settings your client tool first.
