Draw 5-Point Bézier Curve in OpenOffice
How to draw a 5-Point Bézier Curve in OpenOffice?
✍: FYIcenter.com
To draw a 5-Point Bézier Curve in OpenOffice is not straighforward.
You need to follow this tutorial carefully.
1. Draw the 5 points of the curve on a piece of paper: p0, p1, p2, p3, p4.
2. Add an anchor point p2.5 at the mid-point between p2 and p3.
3. Select the Bézier Curve icon from the drawing toolbar.
3. Move the mouse to the first point, p0.
4. Press down the mouse button and move the mouse to the second point p1.
5. Relase the mouse button and move the mouse to the anchor point A2.5. Remember this is not the p2, nor the p3, or the curve. This forms a temporary 3-point Bézier Curve.
6. Press down the mouse button and move the mouse back to p2. This changes the curve to a temporary 4-point Bézier Curve.
7. Relase the mouse. This extends the curve to a temporary 5-point Bézier Curve using p3.
8. Move the mouse to the last point p4. This forms the final 5-point Bézier Curve.
9. Double-click the mouse to end the drawing.
